Partner

Bob Neill is a chartered accountant and valuation specialist with more than three decades advising businesses across the financial and professional services sectors.

Biography

Specialising in business valuation, succession, and transaction advisory, Bob helps founders, boards, and professional services firms understand and realise the true value of what they have built. He leads Madison Branson Capital’s valuation practice, bringing technical rigour, independence, and commercial judgement to the moments where precision matters most.

With a career spanning public practice, licensee management, and corporate finance, Bob has advised at the most senior levels of the financial services sector on valuation, succession, and strategy. His experience includes nearly two decades as a partner in a leading Melbourne professional services firm, which he helped grow into one of the largest of its kind, alongside a national leadership role guiding wealth management businesses through strategic planning, succession, and transaction management.

Bob is recognised for the authority and independence of his valuation work, having served on the external valuation panels of most of Australia’s major banks. A member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors, he is widely regarded as a pioneer of the shift that saw advisory principals view themselves as business owners and investors, not only advisers, and is a sought-after speaker on valuation, practice management, and transaction strategy.
